APRIL/MAY MONTHLY AWARDS RESULTS

After
over a week of voting the results are in and here are the winners of our
final goal, match and player of the month awards for this season.

Last month we had
plenty of goals to choose from, unfortunately Rangers weren't so
generous to us this time around giving us only four to choose from. Of
those four only three goals received any votes. |

One totally ran away with it though, Gareth Ainsworth's effort against
Preston wins the goal of the month prize with nearly 87% of all your
votes cast. Dexter Blackstock's equaliser in the same game came second
whilst his strike at Hull limped into third.
Ainsworth's
winning goal as
described in our match report "Rangers had started to use the ball
far better by now and Rowlands was moving the ball into wide areas.
Mancienne moved up on the attack and sent a low pass into Ainsworth on
the edge of the area. The ball bounced up and as Ainsworth fell away he
sent a sweet looping volley over Lonergan into the net." |

With only five games to
choose from and two of those ending in defeat it was no surprise that
the three games we scored points in were the only ones to secure any of
your votes. |

The two draws of the month, against
Preston and Hull, took the runners up spots but it was the home win
against Charlton that romped away with the poll, winning your match of
the month choice after taking over 68% of the votes. |

Finally onto the player
of the month vote and it's a return to the top for one of Rangers' most
popular young players.
It hasn't been the best
of seasons for Dexter Blackstock but he ended it in style, hitting his
best form of the campaign, scoring three quarters of our goals during
April and now caps it off by being named your player of the month. |

Dexter wins with nearly 31% of your votes pushing our goal of the month
winner, Gareth Ainsworth, into second place. Wild Thing took nearly 27%
of the votes whilst Martin Rowlands came in third.
So that's it for March
and indeed for this season. Shortly we will be reminding you of all your
monthly choices and asking you to pick the best goal, match and player
of the season.
