MONTHLY AWARDS RESULTS FOR FEBRUARY

It's time to announce the winners of the monthly awards results. We asked you to pick the best player, best goal and your favourite match from the month of February and this is how you voted.

After some impressive February performances you picked Steve Lomas as your player of the month, the Ginger Assassin took over 33% of the all the votes cast beating Lee Cook into second place with Marc Nygaard coming in third.

Paul Furlong was your fourth choice with last months winner, Gareth Ainsworth, coming in fifth.

Look out for Skinner's Re-View later this month where Simon will look back over the performances that won Lomas this months award.

   
Goal of the Month

One man took the vast majority of votes in the goal of the month poll as Paul Furlong was both the winner and runner up in this category. His strike against Crystal Palace took over 33% of your votes but it wasn't enough to win the award, that goes to his goal against Sheffield United that earned us a fantastic 3-2 away win a couple of weeks back.

Furlong's goal, as described in Simon's match report "Cook launched yet another raid upfield and he once again fed the ball into the feet of Furlong. The ball looked perfect for the first time strike but he chose to take a touch. Morgan faced him so he shifted it and then slotted it across Kenny into the net. "
   
Match of the Month
Sheff United 2 - 3 QPR 93.87%
QPR 1 - 0 Millwall 6.13%
Only two games received any votes in the match of the month category and one absolutely romped it. Our 3-2 victory against Sheffield United wins the vote with nearly 94% of your votes, leaving Gary Waddock's first game in charge, the home match against Millwall, trailing in second.


So that's it for February, all this months winners will go forward to our end of season vote as usual and we'll be asking you to pick the best moments from March at the end of this month. Thanks for taking part.
