THE FEBRUARY MONTHLY AWARDS RESULTS
Sunday 17th February 2008
by Ron Norris

After over a week of voting the results are in and here are the winners of our goal, match and player of the month awards for February 2008.

GOAL OF THE MONTH

Buzsaky v Bristol City (H) 59.52%
Agyemang 2nd v Bristol City (H) 14.29%
Rowlands v Southampton (A) 11.90%
Mahon v Burnley (H) 7.14%
Agyemang 2nd v Southampton (A) 4.76%
Agyemang v Burnley (H) 2.38%

There was plenty of options in the goal of the month vote but over half of you were in agreement, Akos Buzsaky's strike against Bristol City was the pick of the bunch.

Buz's goal wins with nearly 60% of the votes leaving Patrick Agyemang's 2nd in the same game trailing in second place.

Buzsaky's
winning goal as described in our match report "Buzsaky picked the ball up and drifted in off his wing before feeding the ball into the feet of Agyemang on the edge of the box. He immediately laid it back to the Hungarian and he smashed a left footed volley past Basso with the aid of a slight deflection."

MATCH of the MONTH

Unsurprisingly the Bristol City game romped home in the match of the month category. Over 71% of you picked that as our best performance of February with most of the rest of you preferring the away win at Southampton.

QPR 3-0 Bristol City 71.74%
Southampton 2-3 QPR 21.74%
Barnsley 0-0 QPR 4.35%
QPR 2-4 Burnley 2.17%

PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Patrick Agyemang 66.67%
Martin Rowlands 26.67%
Matthew Connolly 4.44%
Akos Buzsaky 2.22%

It's an Agyemang double as Patrick hangs onto the player of the month crown for the second month in succession and after scoring five times in seven games he is surely a deserved winner. Agyemang beats Martin Rowlands into second spot with Matthew Connolly coming in third.

Agyemang wins with nearly 47% of your votes with Martin Rowlands providing his only real competition, he came second with nearly 37%.

So that's it for January, all this months winners go forward to our end of season poll as always and we'll be asking you to pick the best from February once this months fixtures are completed.

Thanks for taking part.
